Once and for all, I need to get this sorted out.  To convert  gm/dl to mmo/L,  simply devide by 0.6206.

That is,

11.50 gm/dl is  equal to 7.1369  (11.50 x 0.6206)!!!!  This is hoping the midwife reads this before stating that everything is fine!  Phew...that has been a bit of a stress factor on reading blood count reports.  


Tomorrow, I leave for Muscat, Oman.  Not that I like it.  But, I have to. Thanks to the Dutch Embassy officials in Oman, who actually spoke out of their rear end.  In Oman, it seems like the temperature has come down. Still, not looking forward to it.  Leaving Ingrid and ET alone here makes me feel a bit void and sad.  I will be away for 6 weeks.  Not a long time, still I am going to feel disconnected.  But, Life happens!

The entire week has been one mad rush. Meeting people and spending time with them has been time consuming. Not complaining!  It has been evenings of champagne, wine and great food.  In that process I seem to have learnt to say some dutch words.  Even, though a native of the Netherlands would have no clue as to what I am saying.  I have learnt to say, bye in dutch. Which is ‘dag’.  Ah now the pronounciation is a bit complicated.  


Dha!  That's it.   


Just start the 'dh' sound and when you are about to negotiate the 'a' apply full brakes and have some saliva stuck in your throat!  So it comes to an abrupt stop.  Try it, rather simple. Actually, No! 

And then we have ‘Hagel Slag’.  It is an absolute twister.  Anytime, there is a ‘g’ in a dutch word, it gives me the creeps.  Besides the pronunciation, you must have a ready stock of saliva to block your throat with.  I simple will call it, ‘Hag-el-slag’.

I am sure ET will not have problems with these words.  Apparently, kids pick up languages 4 times faster that adults.  Still, if I am the adult in question, then ET will not speak any language properly! I would like ET to speak as many languages besides being a master in physics, mathematics and astronomy.
